Hi Richard,

Have you tried SmartDraw software? It’s widely used by educators to create all sorts of graphics, including mindmaps, flowcharts, decision trees, graphics for science & history, maps, family trees, floor plans, and much more. It also has one click export into PowerPoint, MS Word, and PDF so your drawings are easy to share. You can download a free trial at http://www.smartdraw.com.

Best,
Christine

Thank you so much. These helps create a great library of leads to accomplish what is needed at a given time. Both these sites are most helpful. I post them up on a board for the kids to use when creating their presentations. Thanks, much.

Hi Christine,

Thanks for mentioning it. I don’t believe I’ve ever heard of it. It certainly looks like a great product, and has many features and templates. The primary reason I wrote this article was to help teachers see they may already have a solution on their computer to help with creating graphic organizers, if they have Microsoft Office, which many do. The Education price for Microsoft Office is about $43.00. The current ’sale’ price for SmartDraw is $197. Ouch! :)
